Dong has accumulated over 18 years of experience—handling a multitude of brands in sales, trade marketing and marketing. His expertise in the field come from having held positions like VP for Globe Tattoo Broadband—which became the nation’s #1 broadband, tripling its revenues and subscribers in just 3 years under his stewardship. He was also expatriated by Unilever for 5 years to work in their Bangkok and Tokyo offices as Regional Marketing Head for Asia for a number of skin care brands—where he grew and expanded their skin care market share, as well growing Dove by 24% in the region. Aside from brand building and development, Dong also has entrepreneurial experiences which includes heading ActiveSocial, one of the industry’s fastest growing and most impressive digital PR and influencer marketing firms. After ActiveSocial’s 2nd year of being in the business, Dong went on to set-up brand_it, a marketing solutions and consultancy firm. Through this, Dong works hand-in-hand with over 30 global and local brands– Coca-Cola, Unilever, Nestle, Moet Hennessy, Uber, Samsung, H&M, Ayala Land to name a few. He is also co-founder of “The Gourmand Market”– since 2015 has been providing a premium and differentiated gustatory experience for foodies. Lastly, since November 2018, Dong assumed Lifestyle Asia’s Editor-in-Chief for print and digital.
